Harvey Mac Bailey, 83, of Pampa, TX, passed away January 9, 2018. He was born to Adolphus Bonnie and Addie Oma (Cheek) Bailey on November 23, 1934 in Oran, Missouri.
Harvey was a beloved father, grandfather and brother who was known for his kindness and compassion. He was a rehabilitation counselor for the State of Texas and assisted many people in finding jobs and making positive life changes. He attended college at Southeast Missouri State and obtained degrees in Social Science and History. His love for the bible led him to continuously self-educate himself on the Word. He shared his passion through his prison ministry and inspired many prisoners who were at their lowest point. Harvey could often be heard singing and whistling his favorite hymns. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children Marsha Rollins of Spicewood, Texas, Maressa Bailey of Dallas, Texas, Rebecca Shepler of Flint, Michigan, Tim Bailey of Amarillo, Texas, and David Bailey of Lapeer, Michigan; siblings Peggy Pauline, Elizabeth Jean, Kenneth Bailey, and Danny Bailey; grandchildren John, Daniel, Selena, JT, Lee, Justin, Jordan, Rachel and Michael; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bonnie Alice, William Edward, Dorothy Mildred, Thomas Jefferson, Floyd Gerald, Charles Linn, and Beverly Eugene.
