The Story of 19th Century Grave Robbing and Medicine in the United States

At first glance you might be thinking – grave what? The story of grave robbing is truly a fascinating story that has had a strong influence on U.S. medical practices. In fact, the most famous case of grave robbing happened in a little Ohio town when the body of the father of a future president of the United STates was stolen from his grave. This entertaining and interesting class will provide information concerning the realities of Victorian life that you may not know. This is an Osher Lifelong Learning (OLLI) 2018 Fall Class at Texas Tech in Marble Falls on Thursday, October 25 from 4-5:30. Fee is $15 for OLLI members & $30 for non-members. Instructor is Chris Putnam.
